Faith is not a Battle: Accepting Grace for Miracles

When it comes to your belief in God, do you ever feel like you're lacking? Do you try to strengthen your faith in the hopes that it will bring about a change in your life's material or interpersonal circumstances? If that's the case, I'm happy to tell you that religion doesn't have to be hard.

According to the Scriptures, there is a direct opposition between the hearing of faith and the acts of the law (Galatians 3:2,5). Faith is trusting in what God has already done for us via His Son, Jesus Christ, whereas works of the law are focused on what we must do for ourselves.

I used to share a message that automatically excluded listeners for a long time. If they were not making progress in their life, I would tell them that it was their fault. Then the Lord spoke to me and ordered me to stop rejecting those He had called. He reassured me that they were accepted because of Jesus' sacrifice.

Turning my attention to God's grace caused miraculous events to occur. Malignancies vanished, tumors shrank, and families were reunited. Why? So we may confidently ask for what we need from God when we realize that we have been made righteous through the blood of Jesus.

Increasing our faith does not require any effort on our part. We need only look to Jesus and what He has already accomplished for us on the cross. Our trust in God grows in proportion to our understanding of His great love for us. To believe is not a hardship for us. Just put your faith in what God has already accomplished for you.

Changing lives is what the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about. Faith is bolstered when we learn of His unending affection for us and his eagerness to bestow blessings upon us. Hence, I advise you to look for sermons that center on Jesus and what He has already accomplished. Let the message of hope in this message change your thoughts and feelings.

In sum, having trust isn't hard. It is a blessing God bestows on us when we keep our attention fixed on Him and His mercy. Miracles will start happening in your life once you accept the truth of what Jesus has already done for you. Do not forget that the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ has made it possible for you to receive all of God's promises and blessings. Drop the fight and rest in God's mercy.
